In addition to its enormous range of coloured and textured glass, the Paul Wissmach Glass Co. produces an independent line of fusing glass, which Wissmach classifies as having a coefficient of expansion ( AK ) of 96.

This range in particular has been expanded over the years. Wissmach offers an assortment of uni transparent, uni opal, slanted transparent and opal glasses. The colours are often identical or very similar to the non-fusible glasses - but the numbering system is completely different.

The glass structure of the uni opal and uni transparent glasses corresponds to the Double Rolled - i.e. very smooth. The multi-coloured glasses are similar to WO and LL respectively.

Like any other glass factory, Wissmach recommends doing a compatibility test before use. This is especially true if you are fusing Wissmach 96 with glasses from other manufacturers that also have AK96 attributed to them.

Note: Wissmach fusing glasses can of course also be processed using other techniques. The fusibility is merely an additional property. It is therefore also worth looking at the range for "non-fusers".
