ULLSOL-BF / II is a 10,000 mesh finely ground high-grade boron glass that forms a kind of glaze (at temperatures above 680 ° C) and "eats away" surface devitrification.
ULLSOL can be dusted off or applied by brush or sprayed on. For brush application and spraying, we recommend slurrying with a 50% water-alcohol mixture. The glass powder ULLSOL does not emulsify with this mixture, but rather a suspension, it must be constantly shaken and stirred.
The mixing ratio ULLSOL / emulsifier must be determined empirically for each type of glass and / or devitrification. You should start with a ratio of 20 weight percent ULLSOL, 80 weight percent emulsifier.
ULLSOL, like all boron glasses, is very corrosive to soda glasses (eg float glass and some colors). Therefore always apply as little as possible. In addition, contact with release agents should be avoided. This is a sintering ULLSOL / release agent / glass instead, which can only be removed by grinding and polishing!
