Leadfree pencil for frosted glass black

The Underglaze Decorating Pencils are handy, versatile pens and are ideal for drawing fine lines.

With these underglaze pens you can create permanent drawings on your glass objects.

- Write your name on the objects or add further text

- Draw on one or more glass layers

- Create shading effects

The pen needs a rough surface to draw on. You can achieve this rough surface in various ways:

- Sandblasting the glass pane before using the pen. Clean well afterwards!

- Sprinkle glass powder on the glass pane, then melt at a low temperature of approx. 690-710°C. After cooling, the surface is rough enough to use the pen.

- Cold work the surface with loose grit (hand sanding, diamond sanding pads, surface grinder or similar) or with anything else that produces a rough surface.
